Scottish icon goes vegan
Scotland’s leading pie brand and a staple of households throughout the country is launching a Vegan Scotch Pie. Bells, which sells close to half a million of its iconic Scotch pies every week, will launch its vegan version in major Tesco and Sainsbury’s stores across Scotland this week. The company has responded to requests from customers to launch a Vegan Scotch Pie which has all the great taste of Bells.
Managing Director, Ronnie Miles said: “Bells is part of everyday life in Scotland and has been for many decades. This new addition to our family mirrors all that is great about our scotch pie in a vegan format. It has taken time to develop as we wanted to produce a vegan pie which customers will love just as much as the original. It is a great addition to the range.”
James Lamont, Buying Manager, Tesco Scotland said “Like many retailers Tesco has seen a growing demand for vegan and vegetarian products across Scotland. Bells is a market leading pie range and having tasted the new Bells Vegan Scotch Pie , I am confident that it will be a winner with many of our customers”
